Release notes

What changed in each version. Every update is included with your licence, so pay once and every release after it is yours. The latest is always on the homepage; older installers are at the bottom of this page.

v1.3.5 - 24 September 2026

  • Uninstalling Paidlio on Windows now removes its start-at-login setting as well, so nothing is left behind in the Startup apps list.

  • macOS is now available, for both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

  • Paidlio no longer contacts Google on launch. The fonts are now bundled, so the app looks the same offline.
  • An invoice's currency is fixed once a payment has been recorded on it. Remove the payments first if you need to change it.
  • Voided invoices can no longer be emailed.
  • If your licence key was refunded or replaced and releasing this machine fails, Settings → App now lets you remove the licence so a new key can be entered.
  • Statement emails now really do show the date range in your chosen format. The 1.3.1 note promised this and it did not reach the send dialog.

  • Statement emails now show the date range in the format you chose under Settings → Regional, so the covering email reads the same way as the statement attached to it.
  • Windows now shows the version you actually have installed in Add or remove programs.
  • Fixed a number of smaller issues across statements and the Activity Log.

v1.3.0 - 18 August 2026

  • You can now choose how amounts are written (1,234.56, 1.234,56 or 1 234,56) under Settings → Regional. The same choice applies on screen and on every PDF you send. A new install guesses from your system region; existing installs keep the format they have always printed.
  • Due dates on a new invoice now follow the payment terms set on each customer, rather than the single default under Settings → Invoices. Worth checking those terms on the Customers screen before you next invoice someone: a customer whose terms were never changed reads Due on receipt, and their invoices will now be dated that way.
  • Archived customers stay on the records that belong to them, so their invoices and recurring templates still name them, emailing one fills in their address, and Show archived on the Statements screen lets you send them a statement.
  • Invoices and statements lay out cleanly with long business and customer names and large figures.
  • Paidlio reopens at the size you left the window, and never opens taller than your screen.
  • Fixed a number of smaller issues across invoicing, recurring billing, email and startup, including an amount that could read a cent out while you were still editing an invoice.
  • Routine security and dependency updates.

v1.2.0 - 6 August 2026

  • Invoices and statements now print names and addresses in any European alphabet, so accented, Greek, Hebrew, Arabic and Cyrillic characters all render correctly. (Chinese, Japanese and Korean aren't covered yet.)
  • Recording a payment larger than the outstanding balance now asks you to confirm first.
  • Settings changes are now recorded in the Activity Log. Passwords and licence keys are never recorded.
  • Clearing the invoice number prefix now gives you plain numbers like 0001.
  • Improvements to invoicing and the Settings screen.
  • Routine security and dependency updates.

v1.1.2 - 2 August 2026

  • A new install now opens on a short setup screen, with business details, currency and date format, invoice numbering, and email if you want it. You can skip it, and existing installs never see it.
  • Settings shows what's still unconfigured, with a link to each.
  • Paidlio won't email an invoice or statement until you've entered your business name.
  • Opening Paidlio while it's already running brings the existing window forward instead of starting a second copy.
  • The Settings tab called Company is now Business.

  • Tax labels (VAT, GST) now print on invoice PDFs alongside the rate.
  • Improvements to the invoice and recurring template editors.

v1.1.0 - 8 July 2026

  • Invoices past their due date now move to Overdue automatically. On first launch after updating you'll see a one-time tidy-up of statuses, each recorded in the Activity Log.
  • Voiding an invoice can now be undone with the new Unvoid button.
  • If Paidlio wasn't running when a billing period came due, every missed invoice is generated the next time you launch it, dated for its scheduled period.
  • Archiving a customer now pauses their recurring templates.
  • Backups take a consistent snapshot of your database, and restoring validates the file before it replaces anything, and your previous database is kept as a safety net. Worth taking a fresh backup after updating.
  • The Windows installer now detects that Paidlio is still running and offers to close it.
  • Improvements to invoices, recurring billing, statements, PDFs and regional date handling.

v1.0.1 - 4 June 2026

  • Added the Pay Now link: paste a payment link from Stripe, PayPal, or your bank into Settings and every invoice PDF and email gets a one-click Pay Now button.
