Invoicing software you pay for once

Paidlio costs $79. You pay that once and the software is yours, with no monthly fee, no annual renewal, and no account that lapses if you stop paying.

What paying once means here

You buy a licence, enter the key, and the app runs on your machine. The licence is verified locally after the first activation, so there is nothing to renew and nothing to re-authorise. The version you have keeps working for as long as you keep it.

The database is a file on your own computer, and Paidlio exports invoices, payments and customers to CSV whenever you ask for them.

What that adds up to

Subscription pricing is a function of time, so the only useful comparison is one you run forward. Substitute whatever you would pay per month:

PeriodAt $15/moAt $25/moPaidlio
After 6 months$90$150$79
After 1 year$180$300$79
After 2 years$360$600$79
After 3 years$540$900$79

At $15 a month Paidlio is the cheaper option from month six. At $25 a month it is cheaper from month four. After that the last column stops moving.

What $79 includes

  • Customer records.
  • Invoices as PDF, with your own logo, colour and footer.
  • Recurring invoice templates that generate on their own in the background.
  • Customer statements showing opening balance, line transactions and closing balance.
  • Payment recording against invoices.
  • Sending invoices and statements from your own email account over SMTP.
  • An activity log of every change, with before and after values.
  • Local scheduled backups to any folder you choose.
  • CSV export of invoices, payments and customers for your accountant.

Updates we release are available to you at no extra cost. There is no maintenance tier to keep current and no build you get locked out of.

It runs on your machine

Paidlio is a desktop application for Windows and Linux, not a website you log into. Your customers, invoices and payment history live in a local database on your own computer, and the app works offline, on a train, on a site with no signal, or on a machine you deliberately keep off the internet.

Scheduled backups write to any folder you choose. Point that folder at OneDrive, Dropbox, iCloud or Google Drive and your existing cloud sync handles the offsite copy. A macOS build is coming.

Try it before you pay

The trial runs for 14 days with everything switched on, and it does not ask for a card. Put real invoices through it and see whether it fits how you work.

If you buy and change your mind, there is a 14-day refund policy, so use the contact form and we will process it.

Or download the 14-day trial, full functionality, no card required.
